LexHistory Talks! "We Were There: 1999 Lexington Fairness Ordinance"

Activists and city leaders reunite to celebrate 20 years of the Lexington Fairness Ordinance, which protected LGBTQ Kentuckians from discrimination in employment, housing, and public accommodation. Hear from first-hand witnesses how a savvy strategy with a grassroots push achieved a civil rights dream 20 years in the making. Panel of activists and city leaders moderated by Dr. Jonathan Coleman,

A reception follows afterwards in the Gallery, where guests can view the new exhibit, "Our Fair City: The 1999 Lexington Fairness Ordinance."
