In 1928, the Lexington Dairy was established at 716 National Avenue. The firm was owned by Idadore J. Abraham (President), Edward Abraham (Vice President) and Philip Wilson (Secretary/Treasurer). During the 1930s, Adolph A. Abraham was also a Vice President. The Abraham family continued to operate the company until 1960, when the dairy was sold to the Broughton Farm Dairy. Broughton appointed James S. Hardestry as manager. The firm closed around 1975.[i]
