Anderson , Richard T. (Second)

Richard T. Anderson was born in Fayette County around 1871, the nephew of Richard T. Anderson.  He was first employed as a bookkeeper for the Fayette National Bank and then the Second National Bank.  From 1902 to 1905, he was a partner in Anderson & Dudley (a chinaware firm).

After his uncle's death in 1911, Mr. Anderson became a director of the Security Trust Company and in 1918 was elected a Vice President.  He held these positions until shortly before his death in 1950.  During the First World War, he was active in the Red Cross and the Liberty Loan Drive.  He was also a director of the Lexington Cemetery and Kentucky Joint Stock Land Bank.
