William W. Estill was born on April 12, 1848, the son of William R. Estill. After his father's death in 1875, he engaged in the breeding of short horn cattle and Cotswold sheep on his farm, called "Elmwood." Mr. Estill served as a director of the First National Bank (from 1887 to 1905), Fayette Safety Vault and Trust Company (from 1890 to 1892), Third National Bank (from 1910 to 1911), Phoenix & Third National Bank (from 1911 to 1922), Phoenix & Third Trust Company (from 1915 to 1922) and Phoenix National Bank and Trust Company (1922 to 1925). He died after a long illness in 1925.
