Frazee, David Francis

1846 - 1909

Businessman and Banker.

D. Frank Frazee was born during 1846 in Mason County, Kentucky and came to Lexington to attend the Kentucky University during the Civil War.  After graduating, he entered the firm of Scott, Skillman and Frazee (later changed to Brower, Scott & Frazee).  In 1886, he became a large stockholder in the Phoenix Hotel Company and served as a director until his death.

Mr. Frazee became associated with the Phoenix National Bank serving as a director from 1892 and as President from 1902 until his death.  In addition, Mr. Frazee was a director of the Central Bank (1890) and served as the Treasurer of the Knox Oil Company.  He was the President of the Chamber of Commerce in 1895.  He died on February 18, 1909.
