Hal Pettit Headley was born during 1856, the son of George W. Headley (of the private banking firm of Headley, Anderson & Company). He served as the President of the family's Headley Lumber Company in Lexington. Mr. Headley served on the Board of Directors of the Central Bank (1890s), First National Bank (in the early 1900s), Third National Bank (1910 to 1911), Phoenix & Third National Bank (1914 to 1921 - Vice President) and Phoenix & Third Trust Company (1915 to 1921 - Vice President). He owned and operated the La Belle Farm and Beaumont Breeding Farms on the outskirts of Lexington. A portion of the later farm is now the Beaumont Subdivision and Beaumont Development of Lexington. He died on his farm on September 6, 1921.
