Attorney and Banker.
Edward L. Hutchinson was born in Summerville, South Carolina on July 31, 1858. During 1880, he came to Lexington to study law and in early 1884, he entered the legal profession. Mr. Hutchinson served during the next few years as County Attorney, City Alderman and Councilman.
Mr. Hutchinson was one of the founders of the Lexington Tobacco Company in 1893 and served as President of the Lexington Banking and Trust Company from 1907 to 1912. He died during 1947.
