Will Rouse was born in Lexington on August 4, 1932. He graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1954, having played on the basketball team under Adolph Rupp. After a stint as a Captain in the Air Force from 1955 to 1958, he began his banking career with the Security Trust Company. In 1963, Mr. Rouse became a loan officer and in 1973 was promoted to the head of the retail banking area. He was appointed Executive Vice President in 1974, President in 1979 and Chairman in 1981. Mr. Rouse retired in 1992.
Mr. Rouse served on the Board of Directors of Ashland Oil, Transylvania University, Triangle Foundation and the State Racing Commission. During 1982, Mr. Rouse served as the President of the Chamber of Commerce.
